Introducing The Oncology Pharmacist™
As part of the cancer care team, oncology pharmacists have the responsibilities of ordering and dispensing drugs, advising patients and caregivers on proper drug handling and administration, and making recommendations on side effect management and avoidance of drug interactions. They also have financial and administrative responsibilities and must be familiar with the latest federal and state regulatory policies and insurance coding and reimbursement issues.
