The following should be included with each article submission:

A brief biography for each individual author (eg, full name, title, affiliation)

High-resolution photographs for at least one of the authors.
Please use the AMA Manual of Style, 10th ed (AMA).1 Content should be medically accurate and reflect fair balance. Articles will first be reviewed for accuracy and balance and will then be edited for comprehension, style, and layout. Articles should be saved as a Microsoft Word document, version 6.0 or higher (eg, Word 2007 or 2010). Articles should include a cover page containing the article title, name(s) of the author(s) with complete degree/title/affiliation, and contact information. When referring to medications in the article, drug names should be the complete generic name. Brand names may be used at first mention only, but may be edited out according to journal style. Dosages should also be included. Abbreviations/acronyms should be spelled out at first mention.
Mission Statement
The Oncology Pharmacist features articles written by and for oncology pharmacists and specifically addresses the issues pharmacists and their colleagues face every day in clinical practice in a quick, easy- to-read format. In addition to news on the latest research findings and results of large clinical trials, issues include interviews with thought leaders, articles of interest to pharmacy students and residents, and articles on practice management.
General Information
The Oncology Pharmacist welcomes articles on topics relevant to our mission. The editors invite authors to submit original research, review articles, survey results, case studies, and white papers, as well as brief analyses of industry trends, perspectives, and letters relevant to published articles.
Articles submitted must be original and must not have been published previously, either in print or in electronic form. Articles cannot be submitted elsewhere while under consideration by The Oncology Pharmacist. All authors must sign appropriate disclosure and copyright transfer/authorship forms.
Word Count (not including references, tables/figures)
As a suggestion, articles should be no longer than 1500 words of text plus 2 or 3 figures/tables. Cite all figures/ tables in text. Provide brief captions. In some cases, a longer submission may be acceptable.
References
References should be cited in text and numbered in the order cited. Use AMA style. Recent references are preferred. Please do not use the Word functionality that automatically inserts footnotes or endnotes.
Figures (charts, graphs, pictures, etc)
Cite in text. Provide as separate documents, using jpeg or eps format. Please provide succinct captions and legends containing source (if any). Please spell out acronyms.
Tables
Cite in text. Provide as separate documents in a Word Table format. Please provide a succinct title for each table.
Photographs
Please submit either black and white or color photographs of professional quality. If a photo is in the form of an electronic file, it should be no less than 300 dpi.

Complete articles (containing title, authors, figures, tables, references) should be submitted via e-mail to info@TheOncologyPharmacist.com. Per journal policy, authors will be required to complete and sign copyright release forms. Any questions regarding these guidelines should be sent to info@TheOncologyPharmacist.com.
Permissions
Copyright of the article, including the right to reproduce the article in all forms and media, shall be assigned exclusively to Green Hill Healthcare Communications, LLC, an affiliate of The Lynx Group. Green Hill Healthcare Communications will not refuse any reasonable request by the author for permission to reproduce any of his or her contributions to Green Hill Healthcare Communications.
If any portion of an article submitted for consideration, including figures or tables, has been previously published, please obtain permission from the copyright holder. Permission is required regardless of authorship or publisher, except for documents in the public domain.

Review/Editing
All articles undergo an initial internal review for topic appropriateness and article format. Articles that are not submitted according to the guidelines in this document will be returned to the author.
Routine editorial changes are made on all articles to conform to house style by following the AMA Manual of Style, 10th ed.1 The edited article is sent to the corresponding author for a final review and for any outstanding editorial queries.
Authorship/Copyright
Authors listed on the article should only include those who have made a direct contribution to the content of the article in accordance with the authorship criteria provided by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).2 Credit for authorship is based on a substantial contribution to: (1) conception and design, or data analysis/interpretation; (2) drafting or revising the article critically for intellectual content; and (3) approval of the final version to be published. These 3 criteria must all be met.2 Those who have contributed to the article but do not meet these authorship criteria should be acknowledged at the end of the article.
Provide authors’ highest academic degree and professional affiliations. Also, provide the name, address, telephone number, e-mail, and fax number of the corresponding author. The corresponding author is responsible for securing signatures for all forms from all authors.
All authors are required to sign an Authorship/Copyright Transfer Form, assigning all copyrights for the article to Green Hill Healthcare Communications, LLC, publisher of The Oncology Pharmacist.
For an article to be considered for publication, authors must adhere to the article format described in this document and follow the general ICMJE guidelines.2
Disclosure Statements
All authors must disclose any relationship that could be viewed as a potential conflict of interest based on ICMJE guidelines.2 This includes any financial interests (direct or indirect) and any affiliations or involvement (competitive or amiable) with organizations that have a financial interest in the subject matter or materials discussed in the article. Each author must sign the Author Disclosure Form in accordance with ICMJE guidelines.2
The Oncology Pharmacist discloses all information regarding employment, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, grants, or other financial sources with potential conflict of interest in relation to an article, or if authors discuss any products or services with such commercial interest. Any information regarding funding, grants, or other financial compensation must be listed on the title page of the article. All published articles will include disclosure statements listing any relationships with real or potential conflicts of interest for all authors and for the article/research.
