Researchers Shine New Light on Infertility Rates Among Female Childhood Cancer Survivors

Recent study by Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center and Brigham and Women's Hospital researchers investigated infertility outcomes, including the use of infertility services among female childhood cancer survivors

Using data from the Childhood Cancer Survivor Study, researchers determined that among survivors who had been trying unsuccessfully to get pregnant for at least a year, almost two-thirds (64%) of those diagnosed with clinical infertility became pregnant after another 6 months, on average.

The study is published in Lancet Oncology.
