Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center study shows routine follow-up care differs among male cancer survivors 65 years and older

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center researchers analyzed data from the 2006-2010 National Health Interview Survey regarding 2714 men aged 18 and older with a history of cancer and discovered that African American and Hispanic male cancer survivors 65 years and older are less likely to see a specialist, obtain a flu vaccination, or obtain a pneumonia vaccination when compared with non-Hispanic white male cancer survivors of the same age.

The study is published online ahead of print in the American Journal of Public Health.
